The tell-tale heart? please help with thesis?

i read the story "The Tell-Tale Heart" by Edgar Allen Poe and i have to write a 5 page mla style research paper. so far my thesis is that "In the short story 'The Tell-Tale Heart' Edgar Allen poe developes the theme that guilty always suffer." but i want to add more to the thesis i wanna write soemthing about the eye and also symbolism and irony. can anyone please put it all together in a one thesis statement.
