Obama calls for the EU to accept Turkey-are the French the only ones with any sense?

I can't believe i'm siding with the French. When will the UK grow a backbone and stand up to the USA? Or perhaps they enjoy being infested with foreign filth. The French of all people had to take a stand and tell Obama that Washington does not rule Europe. Well this Brit won't stand for it--if Obama loves Turkey so much why doesn't he allow them to become the 51st state? Wake up England--tell those stinking yanks to bugger off!
