Isn't Kris Allen overrated?

I agreed with you 100% for the first 75% of the season. I recorded American Idol to my DVR and started watching Kris and then ended up fast forwarding through the majority of his performances. Recently though he has been amazing with creating his own style to songs. I first realized his talent when he sang She Works Hard for the Money, and changed it to be his own like he did with his pick last night. Danny and Adams picks last night barely changed the songs to make them their own. I personally love Adam and think his voice is incredibly unique, but Kris has really grown on me.
