Questions about belly on piercing healing process-- 10 points for the best answer(:?

I used to have my belly on pierced - I had the ring in for about a year then took it out. Now that it has healed, there are still holes on the outside but the inside has healed. No matter what you use on it you will still have a mark where the old piercing was.
