NEED HELP WEENING MY BABY OFF OF THE PACIFIER?

your child is too little, he might not be ready for that, and it will only affect him if you will take the pacifier away from him, it will bring him the feeling of insecurity when he grows up. I'm a pre school teacher and my students are still having their dummies and sometimes suck their thumbs. Psychologically, let him do it until he will be the one who will realize that he needs to stop or he will be the one who will stop using it because he doesn't want it anymore. Now if the time comes (3-4 years old) and you want to take it off from him, talk to your child, tell him a story that sometimes we need to say goodbye for something, have him on your lap, communicate with him, tell him that maybe this time, we can have a cup rather than your pacifier? is it cool that you have a cup just like mine? then let your baby throw his pacifier away. It is also a lesson for him that sometimes we need to say goodbye to something and move on, because there's another new and good one coming for us. 2 great lessons for your baby, moving on and accepting great things that will come to us and he will be over with his pacifier. hope this one will help you. good luck! =)
