My Windows Vista gets stuck on the load-up screen?

Whenever I start my pc it shows the windows error recovery screen where two options are given, 'run start-up recovery' and 'start windows normally' both of them lead to the loading screen but then it gets stuck there. The bars keep ping but doesn't go anywhere. I've tried to boot it in safe mode it wont load as it shows its booting all the files and then just stops (on crcdisk.sys)
