Do wasps hipernate or can the come back to life?

There was a wasp in my cotton buds box and had bn there for a cpl of months dead but was scared to get it out ,, now today i was brave and got it out with a cotton bud only it was alive i think it was holding on to the bud and lay it on the windiow ledge and its legs were moving is this possible wtf lol... weird question i know...can flies wasps etc come back to life or something???
