Can God still hear me if I pray like this?

I pray all casual, like im having a conversation with a friend or something, but I've never heard anyone pray like this, like no one at church or anything. Will God still hear me and answer my prayers? They always start out the same like: Hey God, How's it goin up in Heaven, things are ok down here,... Then I go on about my day and people in it and once im all relaxed then I'll go into the real stuff. And its always when Im laying in bed at like 11 at night and I never say Amen or anything because I always fall asleep before I can. Do you think God would prefer something more formal? Or does this still count? Because I've never heard this before??
